We also offer Passivhaus consultancy services for Client's already working with an architect for their projects. Design
As a RIBA chartered practice, Artis Architects is committed to delivering the highest standard of work, professionalism and ethics. We are committed to excellence in design and service delivery. We provide full architectural services from conception through to completion. The design stages include an initial feasibility study, planning and technical design drawings.
Tender
We can help you find a suitable builder by inviting tenders on your behalf. We will then appraise and report on the tenders to help you decide which quote to proceed with. This will save you time and reduce the stress of finding a builder. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure that you get the best possible outcome for your project.
Contract Administration
A Building Contract is a document that outlines the total amount you will pay the builder for the building work and includes all the arrangements for the work, the conditions which all parties must follow and much more. As a contract administrator, we organise meetings at agreed intervals, carry out visual inspections, certify interim payments and advise on the final Construction Cost.
Passivhaus
We offer low energy design services using Passivhaus principles to create energy efficient buildings. We use the PHPP (Passivhaus Planning Package) to analyse and optimize a building’s energy efficiency, ensuring the highest standards of energy performance.

At Artis Architects Ltd, we are committed to designing healthy, comfortable buildings that are sustainable and kind to our planet. Our goal is to create homes that are not only beautiful but also have excellent air quality and good levels of daylight. We work with clients who share our passion for the environment and want to make a real difference in the fight against climate change. We are dedicated to minimizing our impact on the environment and cannot take on new projects that require a new or replacement gas boiler heating system.
Every project is unique and we take the time to get to know you and your requirements from the outset. We approach every project, big or small, with the same meticulous attention to detail. Our friendly, personal and professional service has earned us many referrals from satisfied clients.
Sheena Kerai is a RIBA Chartered Architect and she is the sole Director of Artis Architects Ltd which was formed in 2012.
In 2022, she qualified as a Certified Passivhaus Designer which means she can design buildings that meet the highest standards of comfort and performance while minimizing environmental impact.

"After being sorely let down by another local architect we asked Artis Architects to step in and take on the architectural design for a kitchen and WC single storey extension at the rear of our house. From the start Sheena proved very professional listening attentively to our requirement, answering questions and providing constructive suggestions. She produced three initial drawings very promptly including a wild card outside the brief which we decided to take forward. Final drawings were produced progressively as we developed the detailed plans.
Sheena also handled the approvals and liaised with the Engineer for the structural specifications, with aplomb. During the building she was quick to answer further questions as they arose.
We have been very happy with Artis Architects who are a pleasure to work with. Sheena is very professional and patient, communicates clearly and produces results promptly. We are very pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend Artis Architects."
