We are passionate about creating places and our clients are at the centre of everything we do. Each and every project is unique and we take the time to get to know you and to understand your requirements from the outset. We care about the environment and always design to the latest regulations and specify local/recycled materials wherever possible. Sheena Kerai is a RIBA Chartered Architect and she is the sole Director of Artis Architects Ltd which was formed in 2012. Sheena obtained a BSc in Architectural Studies and a Masters degree in Architecture from Cardiff University, and completed her architectural training with a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture from Westminster University.

OUR SERVICES
Whether your project is an extension, refurbishment or new build, we are able to tailor our services to suit your requirements. We offer a range of architectural services beginning with some initial research that includes in-depth discussions to understand your requirements and develop a design brief with you. Our fees vary depending on the scale and complexity of your project and we are able to provide you with a fee proposal as part of this initial research stage.
If our fee is acceptable, we will carry out a survey of the site, or arrange for a survey to be carried out by a surveyor if necessary. This will be followed by the preparation of feasibility sketch proposals which will explore the potential variations for the final design.
Once we have a sketch design that you are happy with, we move on to detailed design drawings which are submitted for planning approval. Once approved, we move on to the technical design drawings and submission for Building Regulations Approval.
For smaller projects, the technical design drawings are sufficient for you to obtain quotations for the building work. However, for larger or more complex projects, we can also prepare schedules, construction drawings and specifications. We can assist with the preparation of tender documents and provide contract administration services for larger projects.
We generally work within a 10 mile radius of our base in Rickmansworth, however we do sometimes work beyond this so please do get in touch to find out if we can help you.
